About Me
My name is Jacqui Jackson. I am a Family & Systemic Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor, Trainer and Associate Lecturer in Mental Health and Counselling, with over 25 years’ experience within the public sector working across health, social care, education and the charity sector. I have worked in the mental health field since 2010 and have been practising as a qualified family & systemic psychotherapist since 2016.
Throughout my career, I have worked alongside children, young people, adults, couples, families, professionals and organisations, supporting reflection, learning and meaningful change. As a systemic psychotherapist, I am specifically trained and qualified to work safely and effectively with children, young people, adults, couples and families, including complex multi‑person relational systems. My work is grounded in systemic, relational and collaborative practice, with a particular interest in how relationships, culture, identity, community and wider social contexts shape people's experiences and lives.
I am passionate about creating spaces where people feel heard, respected and able to bring their whole selves into conversation. I believe that people and their experiences can only be fully understood when we consider the many contexts that shape their lives. Through curiosity, reflection and the exploration of different perspectives, I support people to make sense of complexity, develop new understandings and identify meaningful ways forward.
My professional interests include systemic and relational practice, clinical supervision, reflective practice, safeguarding, trauma‑informed approaches, organisational learning, and the development of compassionate services and communities. I am particularly committed to social justice, inclusion and improving access to support for individuals and communities who have experienced marginalisation, exclusion or barriers to engagement.
I am the founder of The Contexts Collective, which reflects my belief that people, relationships and experiences can only be fully appreciated within the richness and complexity of the contexts in which they live, learn, work and belong. Through therapy, supervision, consultation and training, I work collaboratively with individuals, families, professionals and organisations to create space for reflection, dialogue and meaningful change.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: people make more sense when we take time to understand the many contexts that have shaped their lives.  I look forward to connecting with individuals, families, professionals and organisations who are interested in creating space for reflection, dialogue and meaningful change.
